Some of you reading this biography can relate to Eric. Trying to follow or pursue a dream. You know, that thing or hobby that you are passionate about and hope to turn into a success? Eric’s musical journey started at the age of 17 when he saw the late great Miles Davis in a video later known to him as Tutu Medley. From that point on, Eric has been writing and producing his own material. The music that Eric creates contains all original instrumental songs ranging from Smooth Jazz to Jazz Funk to Underground Jazz using piano or vibes as a lead instrument. The songs that he produces tend to have a Retro or Neo Soul tent to them. When you listen to Eric’s music, you may hear a little bit of Joe Sample, Roy Ayers or Paul Hardcastle. One person referred to his music as cruisin music. Music that you can listen to on a long drive. Eric also has a song called 2 Minute Chase on an album called Groove Axis by The JWB…The James Ward Band.
Tides is a very special song for Eric because it was the first song that he was able to complete after 4 years of writers block. Eric did not name this tune. He played this song over the phone to a friend and that friend named it Tides. The tune Dance Party is a nickname that was given to Eric because he likes to dance even though he lacks rhythm at times…lol.
I was country when country was country…

I have been fortunate enough to work with great musicians and great songwriters like my cousin Tillman Ben Franks Jr. and musicians like Dexter Mathis and Dean Mathis. Tillman Ben Franks Jr. has wrote songs for me that are unbelievable like “Naw”, “Just Country” and “I Was Country When Country Was Country”.
We have co-wrote songs together also like “Howl At The Moon” , “Keep On Loving You”and “Just Another Bump In The Road”. My cousin Tillman Ben Franks Jr. has been my inspiration and drive to keep me going in this business. Dexter Mathis has been my vocal coach and pulled the music out of me. Dean Mathis (Dexter’s Dad) has gave me inspiration to keep on singing my style of music. Without these three guys, I could not do what I do. I owe everything to them.

Prone to the fiery attitude of indie punk rockers and body surfers this music is a raw shot through the soul that’s not missing any bones of drunken amphetamine induced reality. These guys consciously hit farther into the raw cornering attitudes of rebellious country music. Their ‘matter of fact’ rockgrass style dawns the likes of ratrod jackets and Dead Kennedys shirts while footed up with Jack Purcells. Hailing from the Midwestern United States their evident diversity has taken them from performing melodies with Mickey Gilley to an all stage rock fury with Reverend Horton Heat and two international tours. A ‘UK’ fan described. “The Bob band has a lyrical skill of spinning a dark and twisting yarn with the raucous heavy playing and energy of a pub-brawl.” Noted by news journals to have “a live show of music passion so unexpected, it’s seen to be harmoniously epic.” Maverick Magazine Europe described them as “an outfit that knows how to balance energetic songs with emotionally created tunes which impress continually. They are a song writing gem.”
Formed by singer/songwriter Don Bailey in an abandoned train depot in Millstadt, Illinois in 1994. They released their first 10 song album(Earl) on compact disk a year later(1995). The second album, a six song EP(Black) was released on compact disk in 1998. Opening an original music venue in Belleville, Illinois using proceeds from album sales, Bailey and the band took ten years off from recording and only performed live shows at venues across the midwest. Bailey returned to the studio in 2009 and began writing the 3rd release(Greasy Side Down) It was originally intended to be a ‘backporch” solo style recording. The band caught wind of it after Baileys’ tracks had already been recorded. They joined in, recorded parts over Baileys’ original recordings and the album was released in 2010. The excitement of the new material brought Bailey together with Brandon Turner(bass) Kevin Saak(drums) and Jon Clark(guitar) to record the forth album ‘Time Served’ released December 11th, 2012.
The BOB Band-GREASY SIDE DOWN
Europe’s Maverick Magazine Review – July 2011
Releasing their third album, this four-piece band certainly knows how to create a well produced song that can only be described as awesome. This thirteen song record shows to the world that this Illinois band are steeped in country music history and their musical veins are saturated with, what I suspect, is many bottles of Southern Bourbon. The record does not always go for the jugular as this outfit knows how to balance energetic songs with emotionally created tunes which impress continually. As its title suggests, the stomping beat on Pickin Flowers allows for impressive guitar to be used in the mix. The same wondrous spirit can be linked with Black Hat which is the concluding track. With sublime guitar on this tune with the inclusion of a fine lap steel helps sum up this record perfectly as its care-free attitude is refreshing good.
-Russell Hill – Maverick Magazine / EUROPE

Ready or not its here, the revolution is Providence. The sound is a mixed genre of alternative, hip-hop/rock, . Their musical palate is unique, born to itself. A mixture of raw emotion, hard beats and riffs, thought provoking lyrics, soul and fire. Providence is comprised of two members, Maria “Betty-Bull” Edmonds.- Lead Vocals/ Writer & Rob “Bull-E” Edmonds.- Producer/ Writer/Vocals. As a producer, Rob embarked on experimenting with the marriage of hip-hop and rock elements, eventually materializing a fresh revolutionary musical fusion. With a plethora of musical tastes and backgrounds ranging from Alternative to Rock to Reggae to Hip-Hop to Jazz and Nu-Metal, the duo shows no limitations with their writing ability and style. Starting in June 2007, “Providence” has done nothing but try to break the mold of today’s homogenous repetitive music. ” Let´s do something different “, said Yanni to Alexander Ehm.
” What did you mean? “,he asked and turned his head to him. Yanni looked to the ground and after a few secons he answers, ” Now, we have done two celtic pop albums. I think it is time to move on…for a new musical experience “.
Alex was thinking for a moment. Then he said ” You´re right. We WILL do something different on the third album.”
Said and done.
After a few weeks, he came up with his work,…the notes for fourteen new tunes.
Another few weeks later, after spending many hours in recording with the guys, after days of sadness and after many days of fun, the work was done.
The result is ” Roads “, a high concept album, a mixture between elements of Country and Bluegrass, traditional south american music and sixties surf sound, that has never ever done before. The sound of electric guitar, steel guitar, Banjo, Flute, Oboe, Orchestra Strings and Percussions, is absolutely unic and give the listener the feelings and the personal freedom, to be ” on the road “.
Christon Willis Cole, 22, is quickly making a name for himself within the St. Louis hip-hop and pop industry as “Crisis (KENT)”. His hard-hitting beats, artistic sound & lyrical style is guaranteed to make him a commercial icon in the entertainment business.
Born April 13, 1989 Crisis was raised in the Metro-St. Louis area. Crisis comes from a middle-class family & is the youngest of two children. From an early age he knew that music was his area of interest. Starting his rap career at age eleven, Crisis slowly began writing his own music, creating his own beats, and free-styling. He showed his creativity not only through writing, but by becoming his own producer at age twelve.
One year after making the decision to become an artist/producer, Crisis began to have problems within his home and family life. His mother and father divorced when he was thirteen years old creating a strain on Crisis’s relationship with his father. To date, they don’t have a close relationship. Although, a close-knit relationship had never been established between Crisis and his father, HE has remained motivated to succeed. In fact, drawing from negative and positive personal experiences along with internal struggles has been at the root of much of his work.
After graduating from Hazelwood East High School, Crisis enrolled in Florissant Valley Community College, where he is currently studying computer engineering. Remaining focused on academics & the pursuit of a college degree has been no easy task, but Crisis is making his way through with the support of his music family, Grind Squad Entertainment/Grind Squad Music Group.
Crisis became a member of Grind Squad in 2007. Crisis received his stage name from Red, then CEO of Grind Squad Entertainment. Red chose this name as a way to express the type of artist Crisis would be in the industry – “a problem for other artists who lack the same intensity, creativity and ambition!!!”. Since then Crisis has written more than 200 songs and produced various tracks not only for his own records, but for other artists of the Grind Squad Family & beyond.
Although, Crisis has been compared to famous artists such as Kanye West, Jay Z and B.o.B his sound is distinct from the average rapper. Combining several genres of music such as hip-hop, pop, techno and rock, Crisis has developed a unique and unified sound that has shaped his identity. Since main stream rappers are at the core of the rap game, Crisis has dedicated countless hours into perfecting and customizing his sound, giving his listeners versatility.
Since the launch of his career, the drive for Crisis to succeed is at an all time high. He is more than determined to be known for his creativity, passion and hard-work………
