Prone to the fiery attitude of indie punk rockers and body surfers this music is a raw shot through the soul that’s not missing any bones of drunken amphetamine induced reality. These guys consciously hit farther into the raw cornering attitudes of rebellious country music. Their ‘matter of fact’ rockgrass style dawns the likes of ratrod jackets and Dead Kennedys shirts while footed up with Jack Purcells. Hailing from the Midwestern United States their evident diversity has taken them from performing melodies with Mickey Gilley to an all stage rock fury with Reverend Horton Heat and two international tours. A ‘UK’ fan described. “The Bob band has a lyrical skill of spinning a dark and twisting yarn with the raucous heavy playing and energy of a pub-brawl.” Noted by news journals to have “a live show of music passion so unexpected, it’s seen to be harmoniously epic.” Maverick Magazine Europe described them as “an outfit that knows how to balance energetic songs with emotionally created tunes which impress continually. Formed by singer/songwriter Don Bailey in an abandoned train depot in Millstadt, Illinois in 1994. They released their first 10 song album(Earl) on compact disk a year later(1995). The second album, a six song EP(Black) was released on compact disk in 1998. Opening an original music venue in Belleville, Illinois using proceeds from album sales, Bailey and the band took ten years off from recording and only performed live shows at venues across the midwest. Bailey returned to the studio in 2009 and began writing the 3rd release(Greasy Side Down) It was originally intended to be a ‘backporch” solo style recording. The band caught wind of it after Baileys’ tracks had already been recorded. They joined in, recorded parts over Baileys’ original recordings and the album was released in 2010. The excitement of the new material brought Bailey together with Brandon Turner(bass) Kevin Saak(drums) and Jon Clark(guitar) to record the forth album ‘Time Served’ released December 11th, 2012.

Releasing their third album, this four-piece band certainly knows how to create a well produced song that can only be described as awesome. This thirteen song record shows to the world that this Illinois band are steeped in country music history and their musical veins are saturated with, what I suspect, is many bottles of Southern Bourbon. The record does not always go for the jugular as this outfit knows how to balance energetic songs with emotionally created tunes which impress continually. As its title suggests, the stomping beat on Pickin Flowers allows for impressive guitar to be used in the mix. The same wondrous spirit can be linked with Black Hat which is the concluding track. With sublime guitar on this tune with the inclusion of a fine lap steel helps sum up this record perfectly as its care-free attitude is refreshing good.

Today in America, the face of poverty has changed. No longer is it the homeless man under the L or the toothless woman on the corner who pleads with her eyes…and her cup. As America grapples with devastating economic times, the harsh reality is that the face of poverty is now sitting to your left, to your right, and possibly even in your very own home. Illness and injury know no socioeconomic status and no one is immune – the rich, the poor, the middle-class. Let us introduce a world where lives are changed despite the decline of governmental programs. Together we hope to challenge the stereotypical beliefs about those in need, and find sustainable ways to address healthcare in a failing economy.
While you had the opportunity to meet Mike Williams in the trailer, you will meet many more patients from vastly different backgrounds who share one common theme, all of them were denied access to or let down by our health care system and they were so close to simply giving up. You will walk along side us as you meet each patient – documenting who they are, where they come from and why the quest to maintain health and wellness has been a struggle. You will witness their commitment, their raw emotion, their accountability, their challenges and their successes.
What do you do when you are forced to choose between rent and food, between bus fare and medicine? How do you secure a future for yourself and your family when the pain you feel renders you completely disabled…or addicted? It is widely understood that in the United States of America, despite the promise of Obama Care, healthcare is not and will not be afforded to all Americans equally.
Watch as we follow Dr. Dan and Karla trekking to the Middle East where taking care of patients in refugee camps in Lebanon serves to fulfill the mission of serving those less fortunate yet remains as a means to keep their clinics open in the United States. See the irony when conditions in these camps and devastated countries are still superior to those found within the “safety net” health care system in the disparate areas of Chicago…where healthcare is often likened to a third world country.
Most critically however, the team hopes to leave a footprint, so that together we can build a foundation for future generations as we change the world…OnePatient at a time.

We will keep you posted on our progress every step of the way, including field reports from Lebanon in late June when our film crew will travel to the Middle East to film Dr. Dan working with the Palestine Children’s Relief Fund (PCRF) to bring his medical expertise to the needs of the children living in refugee camps. Without these funds, we will NOT be able to make this trip happen!

LIBBY SPEARS
Along with Oprah Winfrey and Hillary Clinton, Libby was recently named one of 150 Women Who Shake the World by Newsweek Magazine. She is a filmmaker, whose work is based in social practice. Her process for creating is not simply making, but to employ art as a vehicle to bridge gaps and provide access to places and people that would otherwise never converge or be seen.
Libby is a director of both narrative and documentary work. Libby’s background in social issue filmmaking and commercial production has produced works for PSI in Nepal on water and sanitation, and IOM in Indonesia, on human trafficking in the aftermath of the tsunami. Libby has over 15 years producing and directing critically-acclaimed films that can be seen in more than 100 countries around the world.
Currently, she is in production of two documentaries, and in development of the feature length film on the Secret Court of 1920.
Her film Playground, produced by George Clooney and Steven Soderbergh, with animation created by Yoshitomo Nara, looks at the underground epidemic of young children being forced into prostitution in the United States. Playground premiered at the 2010 Tribeca Film Festival and has been critically acclaimed and screened around the world, including numerous times on Capitol Hill.
She was commissioned by Fox TV and America’s Most Wanted to produce and direct a 2-part series entitled ‘The Child Sex Trade in America” that aired in January 2011, and another episode on trafficking of children in Mexico that aired in June of 2012.
Libby’s past directing credits include FOREPLAY, a documentary film on the jazz band MEDESKI, MARTIN & WOOD, that premiered at the Seattle Film Festival, TIDE (starring Laurel Holloman) that premiered at Sundance, and a series of narrative shorts for Atom Films that were distributed globally.
Libby’s producer credits include SPRING FORWARD (Liev Schreiber, Ned Beatty), Bruno Coppola’s RULES OF LOVE (Judy Greer), PAGANS, IN SEARCH OF MICHAEL CIMINO for AMC, and Christopher Walken’s directorial debut, POPCORN SHRIMP, for Showtime Television.
Libby was the Film Festival Coordinator and Programmer for the Slamdance Film Festival. She was Production Coordinator for Propaganda Films/Satellite (Spike Jonze), and for Arcwelder Films’ award-winning documentary series BUILDINGS,BRIDGES, AND TUNNELS, ROBOTS RISING, and WINGS OVER THE GULF directed by Kurt Sayenga for Discovery.

Daniel T. Ivankovich, MD
- Co-founder and Consultant at OnePatient Global Health Initiative, Dr. Daniel Ivankovich is a graduate of Northwestern University’s Feinberg School of Medicine’s Honors program. A fellowship-trained orthopedic trauma surgeon and spine specialist Dr. Ivankovich attended top post-grad fellowship programs at RUSH (Adult Joint Reconstruction), Northwestern (Adult Spine Trauma) and the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago (Spinal Cord Injury). As co-founder and consultant, Dr. Ivankovich’s primary role is to provide medical and clinical oversight to the Medical Services division of OnePatient Global Health Initiative. He’s seen over 100,000 patients and performed over 5,000 surgeries in some of the most disparate areas within the country. He is responsible for clinical compliance, musculoskeletal health and wellness, as well as healthcare policy creation and implementation.
Karla K. Carwile, MA, MA, LCPC, DCC
- President and co-founder of OnePatient Global Health Initiative, Ms. Karla Carwile is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, with a Psychology degree from the University of Illinois (UI-S) where she also teaches undergraduate Psychology. In addition, Karla has earned advanced degrees in Human Development Counseling and INO-Disability Studies (UI-S). In addition, Karla has completed graduate work in Educational Leadership and is completing a Doctorate of Philosophy degree in Psychology with special emphasis on the Biopsychosocial Aspects of Health. As co-founder and President, Karla’s primary role is to provide oversight for OnePatient Global Health Initiative. She is responsible for outreach programming, mental health assessment, overall strategic planning, financial and staff management, organizational development, program operations and clinical compliance.

Chris Hanners
Chris Hanners has one of the most unique voices in Country music today. His smooth, strong delivery on a song keeps you listening and wanting to hear more.
A Columbus, Georgia boy, Chris first discovered music on the front pew of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church in LaGrange, Georgia with his “Momma Hanners”, who encouraged him to sing Southern Gospel at a young age.
Soon he was performing with the well known trio, “The Sky Is The Limit”. They performed at local high school dances and proms, county fairs, and concerts.
In 2007, Nashville producers and songwriters discovered his talent, and he recorded three tracks to be included on his upcoming CD. Nashville producer, Eddie Gossien, produced all three tracks. His first single, “He’ll Be Home Soon”, written by Randy Jack Wiggins, was released to radio stations in the United States and Canada on April 29, 2008. The song will be available soon on iTunes, Rhapsody, and other online music stores.
The upcoming ten-song album will be available later this year with more radio releases due. He is on CLH Records and is distributed by Select-A-Hit Distribution, Memphis, Tennessee.

4D recording artist Denae Gardner’s music is Country, is very fresh and current sounding, and her love and respect for Traditional Country is obvious. There’s no doubting that. Take a listen to her recent radio singles, the Bluegrass tinged “Heartache Train” and, “My Love Will Not Change,” or her new single “Welcome To America” a Rockin’ Country/Blues song released June 2012, and you can hear how unique her talent is. But, at the same time, the Idaho-based singer has a deep appreciation for what has come before her. She feels that’s important.
“You have to appreciate where music came from,” the stunning 20-year-old songstress says. “That’s a really big thing with me. That’s why I listen to so much of the old stuff. It’s all related. Music, as we know it today, came from Country and Blues. Obviously, I know they are different sounding, but I just love it all.”
It was the legendary band Led Zeppelin that was one of her biggest influences growing up, as she recalls.
“What really inspired me to want to get involved in music as a career was that I watched a live DVD of Led Zeppelin when I was in the eighth or ninth grade. Watching that DVD really inspired me, and then, I heard the music of Etta James. That’s when I knew that’s what I wanted to do the rest of my life.”
Gardner blends those sounds all together into a style that she calls “Rockin’ Country with a Blues/Bluegrass twist.” That style is very much in evidence on such tracks as her new single “Welcome To America” (Rockin Country Blues).

Gardner was out and about during mid-2011, putting names and faces together on her first radio tour. The tour, which took her to forty radio markets in a two month period, is a vital part of getting an artist noticed by radio. Denae says the importance of getting to know the Music Directors and On-Air talent can not be underestimated.
She definitely made quite an impact on the listeners and radio stations, as her single “Heartache Train” reached #87 on the Music Row Country Breakout Chart. In some cases, live performances of songs she did on the radio tour, like “Sky Is Crying,” also netted airplay, as well.
With a new single “Welcome to America” set to impact radio, Denae is in this career for the long haul.
Denae wants to carry the torch for artists such as McEntire, Loretta Lynn, and Connie Smith, who kept the ‘twang’ in their music.
“It’s really important to me that we keep Traditional Country flavor in our songs. I grew up with Traditional and Classic music, and I really want to keep that strong.”
If you ask her about her biggest influence, you might be surprised. When asked what performer she would most love to sit down and seek their career advice, she said
“Hank Williams, III, hands down. I would love to sit down and have a conversation with him. I love what he stands for. I would love to ask him about how he has kept his sound so traditional.”
She also hopes to bring out the emotions in her music to the listeners, and if her music inspires them, she knows the feeling.
Denae says that as much as she loves recording, she really wants to take her music out on the road to the people. That’s where she feels right at home.
So, when listeners hear “Welcome to America,” on the radio, what exactly would Gardner want people to think about her?
“I want them to think that this girl has a deep passion for America. She is not afraid to venture away from the ‘love song-meets-beer hall songs’ that are so popular in Country music. She will sing about society and some of the things that we must deal with to keep our Country the wonderful land of freedom and hope that it was created to be. I hope people think that I have genuine talent. I hope they feel what I am doing, and that I am sticking to my roots. I just want them to appreciate it!”

Natasha grew up in CA, Mexico, and Europe where she played folk & blues,landing a steady gig in London.
