SINCE 85

SINCE 85 explained that the name signifies the beginning and birth of stardom and the forefront. Meaning she has been coming to the stage since birth. Infiltrating a male dominated industry is a personal pursuit for this female emcee…”SINCE 85″. Her lyrical skills combined with smooth southern beats make her a force to be reckoned with. “SINCE 85″ is looking to change the negative light on what female rappers “CAN’T DO”. She’s performed at various venues across the country and her advice to others is… “The best way to do you, is to stop watchin’ me!”.

JD has many music credits in film and t.v., and has worked with independent and signed artists since 2008. Also since 2008 JD has worked with Ohio hip hop artist Nate Sylak, who he signed to a production deal. “As a music producer in the modern age my main duties include providing the artist with songs/beats that move and motivate them to perform to their greatest ability. Once the song is written my job is to make sure it is recorded with all the latest technology, so the song can sonically keep up with the never ending trends that have become common in today’s music production. After the song is recorded, my job is to make sure the mixing, arranging, and mastering is done properly so what the listener hears is a professional sound. At times my role as producer also includes the packaging and promotion of the artist. This can include photo shoots, artwork, design and coordinating the physical release of the final product. Sometimes my duties will extend to promoting the release in the media/press to drive sales. The end result is a song that has the largest number of possibilities including digital sales and downloads, placement in film/t.v. and other forms of licensing such as web, commercial and compilations.”–JDVQ3000

Sydal

Sydal
In a time and place where beef and turf politics surround rap music, Sydal has been labeled a breath of fresh air by fans and artists alike. This is because Sydal, who came into the game making dis records about anybody he wasn’t feeling, did a complete 180 and refuses to take part in a practice that has forever held his city down in the industry. “Rap music used to thrive on beef, but the tables have turned. Fans want to hear good MUSIC, positive solutions and be entertained…not caught up in an issue that doesn’t concern them”. Sydal lives in a city that has been going through a constant power struggle, where everybody wants to be labeled the “king” of the city, and collaborations are few and far between. This same problem keeps his hometown of San Jose out of the spotlight. .. ..Sydal started freestyling at the age of 11, and started writing and recording songs at the age of 14. From there, he would duplicate mixtapes in his bedroom and pass them out on a daily basis…to whoever would take one from him. It wasn’t until 2001, at the age of 19, that he financed and recorded his first LP, “Game Theory” and started getting his name out beyond his region. He caught the attention of many people throughout Northern California, and from there he grew his own fanbase from San Jose to Europe and Japan. After falling out with every artist he worked with, all he did was record dis record after dis record, and eventually decided to take a break from music altogether… ..Eventually, Sydal stepped back into the studio and decided to do everything himself. From writing, to beats, to full production (Pre-Mastering). By his side are cats like Young D, JC and Trenceda, whom he has been working closely with for quite some time now. Because of that, you can expect a few new albums very soon. This includes a Sydal solo, a Sydal & JC collaboration project, and some work from the StreetSav camp and Young D. Sydal has been from studio to studio, writing and recording non-stop for himself and for others. He is set to feature on numerous upcoming projects, and expand into other areas of entertainment as well… ..On top of all the recording, Sydal can be found performing in venues such as The Improv in San Jose, The Britannia Arms in Cupertino, and various other places. If you’d like to see him in your area, hit him up and it will happen. We’ll see what the world holds for this man, who is bent on creating good music for good people. “I don’t want to make records that will get me killed, I want to make records that will get me HEARD! I’m here to touch people, and to make real music with some real talented people”. I’m sure the world will be surprised when they hear what Sydal is bringing to the table. Sydal will be one of the best in the industry very soon…

Crisis (KENT)

http://www.reverbnation.com/crisiskent
Christon Willis Cole, 22, is quickly making a name for himself within the St. Louis hip-hop and pop industry as “Crisis (KENT)”. His hard-hitting beats, artistic sound & lyrical style is guaranteed to make him a commercial icon in the entertainment business.
Born April 13, 1989 Crisis was raised in the Metro-St. Louis area. Crisis comes from a middle-class family & is the youngest of two children. From an early age he knew that music was his area of interest. Starting his rap career at age eleven, Crisis slowly began writing his own music, creating his own beats, and free-styling. He showed his creativity not only through writing, but by becoming his own producer at age twelve.
One year after making the decision to become an artist/producer, Crisis began to have problems within his home and family life. His mother and father divorced when he was thirteen years old creating a strain on Crisis’s relationship with his father. To date, they don’t have a close relationship. Although, a close-knit relationship had never been established between Crisis and his father, HE has remained motivated to succeed. In fact, drawing from negative and positive personal experiences along with internal struggles has been at the root of much of his work.
After graduating from Hazelwood East High School, Crisis enrolled in Florissant Valley Community College, where he is currently studying computer engineering. Remaining focused on academics & the pursuit of a college degree has been no easy task, but Crisis is making his way through with the support of his music family, Grind Squad Entertainment/Grind Squad Music Group.
Crisis became a member of Grind Squad in 2007. Crisis received his stage name from Red, then CEO of Grind Squad Entertainment. Red chose this name as a way to express the type of artist Crisis would be in the industry – “a problem for other artists who lack the same intensity, creativity and ambition!!!”. Since then Crisis has written more than 200 songs and produced various tracks not only for his own records, but for other artists of the Grind Squad Family & beyond.
Although, Crisis has been compared to famous artists such as Kanye West, Jay Z and B.o.B his sound is distinct from the average rapper. Combining several genres of music such as hip-hop, pop, techno and rock, Crisis has developed a unique and unified sound that has shaped his identity. Since main stream rappers are at the core of the rap game, Crisis has dedicated countless hours into perfecting and customizing his sound, giving his listeners versatility.
Since the launch of his career, the drive for Crisis to succeed is at an all time high. He is more than determined to be known for his creativity, passion and hard-work………

Jennifer Lang

Soulful…Heartfelt… Sultry… Thought provoking… Meaningful The Musical Heart of Jennifer Lang
Jennifer Lang needs a few more votes. Push her to the top. The tracks are hot. Vote now. midem.sonichub.com/artist/jennife… #nowplaying #music #rt
— Ozzmak (@Ozzmak) January 18, 2013
“What excites me most about music,” New York-based singer/songwriter Jennifer Lang says, is simple: “The sound… music is in the ocean. It’s in your heart beat. It’s in your spirit.” Raised in church singing with an appropriately titled family act “The Lang Family,” Jennifer’s introduction to music and public performing started at eight years old. She was also a member of her church choir and sang in the school choir through high school. Jennifer’s secular music education blossomed when Jennifer and her brother pulled out their mother’s records and listened to the greats of the day including Aretha Franklin and Al Green along with hundreds of others.
For someone so steeped in music that it touches her very soul, you would think music is the reason Jennifer moved all the way from Pine Bluff, Arkansas to The Big Apple in an effort to pursue her musical dreams. She was actually already living there, having been hired by a political action group to organize lower income neighborhoods to help them get better city services. While in training, Jennifer was hired by the telephone company. And like the old phone company slogan goes, Jennifer “reached out and touched someone” with her singing voice at work.
Jennifer knew that if there was ever a time and a place for her to “go for it,” it was in New York City. She prayed about it “and asked God to lead me and protect me and keep me in good company, because although I didn’t know everything about the music business, I did realize that there were stories of bad things happening to sweet little girls like me. I educated myself, I read books, talked to attorneys, attended seminars and then started recording.”
With the completion on her follow-up album, “3′O Clock Saturday”, Jennifer continues the love theme with soulful tales of failing, forgiveness and being happy at the end of it all.
