I started realizing I could do this rap without a middleman from studying the likes of Master P and Hot Boys before they were nationally known and before Juvenile’s hit record entitled “HA”. They mainly and mostly Master P embodied independance back in the early 90′s and mid 90′s. So when i started writing in my notebook and playing with words right then i knew that was my passion and I knew who better to play with words then the coolest guy on the block and school? but back in the mid to late 90′s there wasnt as much utilities that we have today. Treal City Bought Amp’s, mics, Beat machines and mixers to record in his own garage with long time friends From Holbrook & Wood Street Nieghborhoods in Muskeepagun (231) such as Yung Efil, Wyte Boi, Duke da kid, Big 2oot, Yanikk, Salty Mobsta, N.Y.A, Slime Money etc (IF I FORGOT YOU THEN LET ME KNOW WHEN U SEE ME LIKE WYTE BOI DID) Then there might have been just 2 studio’s in the town. DRAGON SOUND and I remember The other was Fist full of Dollars studio where I demostrated my skills for the first time with the likes of my man QB who is doing 25 yrs right now , DJ MBASSADUH , SALTY MOBSTA (DIRECT CONNECT president) N.Y.A and Keith Fox from Emag Records. Speaking of Emag records Chilla Pertilla was Like God back in the Mid to late 90′s He broke major boundaries with his appearance on his cousin E-40′s nationally known platinum selling “SOUTHWEST RIDERS”. If you was from Wood Street or Jackson Hill Black Gang you were very proud. I Also was definetly moved by the Album promotion of La the Darkman’s “Heist of The Century” 1997 in the source magazine which was the only other poster on my wall other then No Limit records recording artist. No Limit records was my alltime favorite label and era in music but Back to Treal City which was just “Treal” back in late 90′s …”I was always a living example of if you want something done you gotta do it yourself!” when i couldnt get any beats and i decided local producers were charging to much for production and there was no internet or fruityloops back then mind you….i then said to myself i know what i want my beats to sound like so ima make them myself ! I stayed next door to the infamous Part 1 and Part 2 the local legends that made millions off of drug sales who have always held us there neighbors high cause of our help with lookout and the succesful profits immediate family members made with them. I say that to say this I wasnt old enough to get a job when I wanted to buy that beat machine called the DR-5 which costed 500 dollars then so I hustled to get it and I got it ! I had some fire beats too ask people from my neighborhood in Southwest Chicago and Downtown Muskegon, Michigan (where i stayed back in forth througout my life being that my father Robert Lanford is from the Chicago and my mother Caroylyn Willis from Mississippi.) I even started to do flyers and promotional work for myself, my team and outside customers making them album cover artwork and tracklists for an undisclosed amount. I have managed artist, created movements that have lived for this day today in 2009 which is the year it all payed off and made sense I been creating a local hip hop community where it doesnt exist for years mainly because there is no outlet and no faith in local artist from the Radio Stations! So Sad still to this day! TREAL CITY BEEN HAD ENTREPRENEURIAL EMPHASIS! The entrepreneur is our visionary, the creator in each of us. Any experience in a music-related field, the ability to play an instrument or sing, vast and current knowledge of the industry, technical knowledge or experience in audio and recording technology, sound engineering, and studio setup provide a solid background to this field. Courses in business administration or management are particularly helpful to the independent producer. Because of the highly competitive nature of the business, newcomers must be willing to take just about any entry-level position with a recording company, independent producer, or recording studio and work hard and long hours to get to the top. Stress is a way of life for all music executives, so the entrant must determine his or her level of tolerance. Even after getting your foot in the door, this industry places considerable emphasis on your record in the field: What you’ve done, who you’ve produced, and how much money you’ve brought in. Thus an individual’s ability to find and sign talent is paramount. I Started my first internship (unofficially) with Floyd Money Mayweather’s Philty Rich records through Hot 2 Death/Bird Carel Inc and played a major role in the success in marketing management of the careers of Canary Yellow Chello and G.C. 24kt. I put in major marketing and promotional work and I was a one man street team spoon feeding the major dope boy figures in the streets of Muskegon aka Muskeepagun , Gun rule aka Mayweatherland , Chicago and Kalamazoo. Admiring the hardwork, Flow and network savvy of Treal City the big homey Canary Yellow Chello blessed him with 6 appearances on the future classic mixtape project mixed by DJ KOKAINE and up and coming Shark DJ ROKZ entitle “BIRD CARTEL” available for download on datpiff.com. THE MIXTAPE/STREET ALBUM Was the first edition of what Treal City Calls Gwop Hop which is Grindin.with.optimistic.plans-Humility.over.publicity! There Treal City created a major buzz in the streets in places his name has never been rung. The Streets couldnt wait for his solo release “The Snitch Era” which was held back and due to creative differences Treal City departed ways with his partner Canary Yellow Chello and Regal Management to pursue more lucrative opportunities with the Aphilliates Music Group (current label of Treal City’s direct influences Willie the Kid, La The Darkman & DJ DRAMA all Shown together in multiple pictures below) which would increase the interest brand value of his now Nationally known Direct Connect Enterprise (FUCC A MIDDLEMAN!!!) which prides itself in affiliate marketing as shown in there now direct ties with So icey Entertainment/Mizay Entertainment among other direct connections with major and up and coming players in the industry PAY ATTENTION!!!!
