Free Spirit

Free Spirit is a hardworking and equally hard playing rock band hailing from Finland.
Their music offers strong musicianship, soulful vocals and the essence of the great acts from the aor/ hardrock scene. Undercurrents of Celtic and folk music blend seamlessly with powerful guitars, souring harmonies and melodies that will get stuck in your head for days at a time; a wound healed only by listening to more and more, quenching the thirst of a Free Spirit hit.
Lead singer Sami once described the Free Spirit message: “We try to bring melodies, harmonies and breathtaking songs back to rock music instead of being one of those bands where a group of angry men try to shout out that they have ‘the attitude’.”
Listening to Free Spirit music will take you on a journey through moments of euphoria, to trials and tribulations, heartache, love and heroism. This is a band with a story to tell.
Free Spirit music is rock at its finest, it is uplifting and joyous, aggressive and strong, it’s clever and brilliant in its creation. It’s catchy and fun, and above all; it’s very, very good.

With six hard working, passionate, down-to-earth, crazy guys creating the music that they love, it’s no wonder their fan base spans the globe even before a debut album has been released! This kind of drive puts Free Spirit in a league of their own, above the carbon copy cut-out bands that are so dominant in today’s music charts. A refreshing take on old-school hard rock, this is a band to watch.

It’s only a matter of time before the Free Spirit epidemic grows to massive proportions and world domination knocks on their door.

Pale Sister of Light

Finnish melodic hard rock band Free Spirit is about to release their debut album.
The album is called ‘Pale Sister of Light’. Free Spirit’s music is all about big melodic
guitars and stadium size choruses. The sound is at the same time familiar and yet
seductively novel for all the fans of rock music.

The story behind ‘Pale Sister of Light’ starts from the name of the band. It is based
on Friedrich Nietzsche’s book ‘The Antichrist’. Free Spirit is free from any pre-made
concepts and from this world. ‘Pale Sister of Light’ is a journey through a parallel
reality, close to our daily life, very human and familiar yet intriguing, visual and
magical. Don’t we all long for the miracles, the love, the spirit that lifts us higher?
Mystical powers and beauty of Mother Nature are present in a story we can easily
adopt: love and what happens while years pass. The main theme of the story is
everlasting love, but it is also a story of coming home.
Most of all, like the name of the band says it; it is a story of true dreams.

People have been positively surprised about this music and it seems that
Free Spirit can really enchant it’s audience. It can be said that the band
have found the right way to write and perform melodic hard rock for
this millennium. If you need any
additional information about the band, do not hesitate
